The main entrance is through a sun porch at the front of the property. This is a superb viewpoint from which to watch the swans and the ducks on the loch and to study the teeming bird life in the surrounding fields. In the evening you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets for which the island is famous.

On your left, on entering the property, is a spacious, luxuriously-carpeted sitting room with a  Victorian fireplace and a comfortable sofa and armchairs. It is well stocked with a radio/CD player, DVDs and videos for a rainy day.

The white walls are decorated with water-colours depicting island scenes. On the front window ledge there are maps, information leaflets about the island and details of places where you can eat out.

Off the dining room there is a small, cosy room with a single bed and a wash hand basin.

Both gardens back and front are child and dog proof. The back garden with its sturdy picnic table and chairs is an ideal safe playground for young children or for a family to have a barbecue. There is a barbecue in the freezer shed.

To your right on entering the property, is the dining room, also with an open fireplace. As you relax over a meal, at the dining table, you have a panoramic view across the loch. It is furnished with a sofa and arm chair from which to view the large, flat- screen TV above the side board. The bathroom is off the central hall and there is an instant shower over the bath.  Inside the back door and separate from the kitchen is a laundry room with washing machine and tumble drier.

From both kitchen windows there are extensive views over loch and moorland and in the early summer  the corncrake can be heard and sometimes glimpsed in the wild iris beds over the garden wall.
